Firearms Courses

We offer a variety of firearms courses and training classes to meet your needs and tailor our lessons based on your background and experience. From classroom instruction for the concealed handgun permit (CHP), home and personal defense, and family outings at the range, we have a program to help you meet your firearms goals.

Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit Class (CHP)

This is a six hour classroom presentation that meets the state of Colorado requirement to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit.  
 

Areas of instruction include:

  • Requirements to obtain a Concealed Handgun Permit
  • Firearms Safety 
  • Shooting fundamentals
  • Concealed carry law
  • Use of force law
  • Controlling the handgun while shooting
  • Sight picture/sight alignment 
  • Responsibilities of carrying a firearm
  • Methods of concealed carry
  • Choosing a firearm for carry 
  • Weapons malfunctions
     

While the state of Colorado does not require you to qualify with a firearm to obtain your concealed handgun permit, it is highly recommended that you take a range course along with the concealed handgun class.  

NRA Basic Pistol Class (BP)


This is the National Rifle Association's online/classroom and range course for Basic Pistol certification. This introductory course is designed for people of all ages who are new to handguns.

  • Care and Cleaning of Handguns

Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Class (CFP)

This is a four hour classroom presentation that meets the state of Utah requirement to apply for a Concealed Firearm Permit. Non Utah  residents must have a concealed handgun permit from their state of residency.

  • Shooting fundamentals
  • Concealed carry law
  • Use of force and Weapons Laws
  • Controlling the handgun while shooting

  • Choosing a firearm for carry 
  • Weapons malfunctions

There are a variety of private or group range courses available which include instruction on:

  • Shooting on the move

Private, Group Classes & Ladies Only Classes

Private and group classes for all courses are available and can be held at your office or other location if desired. Contact us for details on private and group classes. 


For ladies who would be more comfortable in an all ladies class, we offer "Ladies Only" classes.

Firearms Law Seminar


This law seminar is presented by one of Colorado's premier firearms attorney's. It is approximately two hours in length and classes are kept small so everyone has time to have their questions answered. 

Firearms Rentals

You may either provide your own firearm for range training or rent a firearm if needed. You will need to provide your own ammunition in the appropriate caliber. Details will be provided when the range training is scheduled.


Handguns from most major manufacturers are available for rent during range courses in calibers including:

  • 9mm
  • .38 Spl
  • .357 Magnum
  • .40 S&W
  • .45 ACP 

Ammunition is also available for purchase at the range
